Since the inception of the Institute in 2011, considerable effort has gone into ensuring all promotions and reward processes are both fair and transparent.
Transparency is not the same as being well understood, however, and the 2015 Staff Survey recorded 30% of research staff as not feeling that the promotions processes at UCL were fair.
The Institute will be holding a promotion workshop to discuss the processes for all Institute staff and the introduction of the FPHS appraisal season.
The workshop will be covering how the promotions processes work for academic and research staff and reward and appraisal processes for all staff groups. It is intended for all staff groups and designed to provide an informal and open forum in which we can confirm what has been done and how current processes work, followed by an open question and answer session. If there are any issues you want us to address in this seminar, or you have specific questions about the promotions process within your Research groups or UCL-wide, please let us know in advance so we can try and address this in the seminar.
Time: 20th June 2017, 1-2.30pm
Venue: Galton Lecture Theatre, 1st Floor, 1-19 Torrington Place
