If you're interested in setting up your own business, social enterprise or voluntary community-centred organisation you'll need a grasp of business finances.
This free one-hour webinar will provide insight into the types of investment available to startups based in the UK. You’ll learn about grant and equity investment opportunities and the positives and negatives of each investment type.
This event is being run by the Women in Enterprise Network. The network aims to bring business women together, to create a community to connect with, share business ideas and explore best practice.
What to expect
During this one-hour webinar, you’ll learn about:
- the variety of private and business funding available for startups in the UK
- who to approach to access business finance
- what funders want to know about your business idea
Who it’s for
This event is for anyone interested in setting up their own business, social enterprise or voluntary community-centred organisation.
You could be a UCL student, alumni or staff member, or someone who lives or works in London. You don't need to be a member of the Women in Enterprise Network to attend.
About the speaker
Caroline Broad is Director of Broad Associates Ltd. She delivers workshops that build confidence and provide best practice insight to enable you to be effective and proactive in your innovation and entrepreneurial activities.
Caroline is the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Royal Veterinary College and delivers innovation and enterprise programmes for UCL, Imperial College London and Queens University Belfast.
She has a background in hi-tech and bioscience as well as small charitable organisations. She’s a certified practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Belbin™ Team Roles, and is C-Me Profiling and Resilience Leader Elements accredited.
