What is your current role?
I am working as an Independent Educational Psychologist.

What did you find particularly useful about the CPD Doctorate in Educational Psychology programme at UCL?
The DEdPsy helped me to focus on specialist areas of interest - speech, language and communication needs and autism - and I increased my knowledge and learnt how to adopt a rigorous approach to my work. It also vastly increased my confidence as a practitioner.

How has doing the DEdPsy at UCL developed your CPD / career?
When I completed, I was working as an EP part time in semi-retirement on the staff of a special school for speech and language difficulties.

I now work independently as an EP from home, but go out to schools and clients' homes, rather than they come to me. My work includes legal work and attendance at SEND Tribunal hearings.
