Themes

The programme explores how research can make a difference to education policy and practice.

The two central themes are

• teaching and learning, focusing on the role of teachers, their recruitment, retention and professional development and
• the uses of technology in teaching and learning.

The themes will be explored

• by working collaboratively in partnership with practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders
• in the context of compulsory education within one or more of the UK’s four nations and jurisdictions.
