The Education Research Programme team based at UCL

Professor Gemma Moss,
ESRC Education Research Programme (ERP) Director

Gemma provides strategic oversight of the programme, ensuring overall coherence and intellectual leadership across its different activities.  As ERP Director she is committed to building lasting networks that connect policy, practice and research in new ways and can help shape ESRC’s education research portfolio going forward.


 Dr Rachel France,
 Research Fellow, 
systematic reviews

Research Fellow focusing on producing systematic reviews on relevant topics to support the project. She is initially focusing on examining the evidence on research-practice partnerships across social policy areas, evidence-based practice in education and theories of change.


Dr Louise Yorke
Research Fellow, education policy

Louise's current work focuses on mapping the education policy landscape in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. She is investigating the factors that contribute to effective interactions between research, policy and practice using various methods including policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and interviews with key stakeholders. Her aim is to identify and recommend actionable strategies that can bring about meaningful change in education policy.

Communications and Events Manager

Lizzie plays a key role in the planning and delivery of a range of events, seminars, special lectures and conferences across the Education Research Programme. She manages programme communications activities and is building an audience in practitioners, policy-makers and education researchers.
