Prof Sir Richard Blundell receives honorary doctorate from Ca' Foscari University of Venice

Professor Sir Richard Blundell CBE FBA (David Ricardo Chair of Political Economy at UCL and Director of the ESRC Research Centre at IFS) today received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Economics from Ca' Foscari University of Venice.  He delivered his Lectio Magistralis on 'Economic Policy Reform and the Challenge of Inequality'.  

In his speech, Professor Blundell stated that "Universities have a key role to play in fighting excessive inequality".
