On 25 November 2019, Philip Lane will deliver a Public Lecture for the Centre for Finance and the Department of Economics at University College London (UCL). The lecture will shed light on monetary policy in academic and policy-making perspectives.
Philip Richard Lane is the European Central Bank’s Chief Economist since June 2019. Prior to this position, he served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland from 2015 to 2019. He has also chaired the Advisory Scientific Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board and acted as Director of the International Macroeconomics and Finance Programme at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and an academic consultant for national central banks.
