Recent success for UCL Eastman students

Many congratulations to all of our students who are celebrating recent successes including:

Nabih Alkhouri, PhD student, passed the ORE exams and has now full GDC registration. Nabih’s current research focuses on developing a novel restorative material for atraumatic treatment of children’s teeth (read more). He also gained the title of an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). 

Abdouldaim Ukwas, Oral Surgery MClinDent graduate, passed the Licentiate in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This is a wonderful achievement that will allow Abdouldaim, who also has a PhD in oral cancer detection, to practice in the UK and hence benefit patients with complex oral disease.

Chivani Tailor, Oral Surgery MClinDent graduate, was recently awarded the Drummond Jackson Essay Prize 2019 by the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry. 

Dr Negar Mirzai won the best student prize on our Implant Dentistry Diploma course 2019. The award was kindly sponsored by NobelBiocare 

Dr Catherine Zhengmiao Wang was awarded this year’s DDS-MIS (UK) Digital Dentistry Society Prize, as the best performing student for a clinical case presentation on our Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry Certificate programme. Read more

Dr Jurgita Sybaite was awarded the prize for best performing student on the 2018/19 Restorative Dentistry Diploma. This annual prize is kindly sponsored by GC (UK). Read more
