Congratulations to Professor Albert Leung who received the prestigious Excellence in Dental Education Mature Career Award at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
Professor Leung, Head of Continuing Professional Development and Chair of Dental Education, received the accolade at the August event in Vilnius, Lithuania
The award recognises Professor Leung’s exemplary leadership and skills in providing sustained highly successful dental education in the UK and overseas.
EDI Director Stephen Porter said: “This award rightly recognises Professor Leung's skills and commitment to excellence in dental education, with a quality portfolio of innovations, technological advances and contents delivery through his local and international dental education positions”.
Further congratulations also go out to Dr Peter Fine who won first prize in the conference poster competition, Curriculum category, for his poster entitled ‘Feedback to Postgraduate Students: How this Facilitates the Learning Process.’
Such research is important as it greatly informs the Institute, and indeed dental schools across Europe, as to how to enhance the learning experience of postgraduates.
