award ceremony

Congratulations to student Jon Nicholas, who has been awarded this year’s Prestige Dental Prize. The annual award is given to the best performing student on the Certificate stage of our Restorative Dental Practice MSc.

Jon – part of our 25th RDP cohort – won a Denar Mark 2 articulator provided by sponsor Prestige Dental.

Deputy Programme Director Dr Neil Nathwani said: “Jon has been working consistently hard throughout the year.

“He is very motivated and has a good clinical and academic skill set - the prize is thoroughly deserved, well done.”

The MSc in Restorative Dental Practice is a part-time, four-year programme that enhances students’ ability to provide high-quality and comprehensive restorative management for the majority of patients.

Students on the Certificate programme attend part time for a year whilst in practice and work on simulated phantom heads and models in a number of modules in restorative dentistry and have a number of assessments throughout the year.

They are taught with new materials and evidence based techniques by highly recognised specialists in their field.
