What advice would give women starting out in their career? Follow your dreams and choose a career you are passionate about
What attracted you to do into Dentistry: The fact that it is creative and at the same time very fulfilling and helpful to people. It combines restoration of health and beauty and it can change a patient's confidence and life.
Have you experienced any barriers in the work place if so how did you overcome this? I was lucky never to have experience any barriers in my patient care.
What advice would you give your younger self? Don’t be afraid to ask for what you need.
What advice would you give someone who wants to join dentistry? It’s a great profession with very diverse areas of clinical practice. I would recommend that they choose early on the area or clinical care they enjoy more and their practice setting (patient centered practice or public health). Also it helps having a mentor whose work they find inspiring.
How did you feel supported? I feel mostly supported every day by my patients and the community of colleagues I collaborate with treating these patients.
Who was your mentor/inspiration? Dr. Rhonda Jacobs and Dr. Ray C Williams
What would people be surprised to learn about you? I have training in a cancer and trauma center in the USA on maxillofacial prosthetics, helping patients who lose parts of their face in addition to teeth.

What advice would give women starting out in their career? Try and take advantage of all the training courses available to you. You can easily train and move within a company with your transferable skills.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? I am a keen photographer and love to travel when possible.
