We are pleased to be running the Early Modern English Reading Group again this year, especially now we are able to meet again in person, and it is exciting to be able to trial a slightly new format which will focus each meeting on a single work.
Texts will be circulated in advance of the meetings to attendees who register their interest by contacting either Fraser McIlwraith (fraser.mcilwraith.15@ucl.ac.uk) or Kate Kinley (catherine.kinley.19@ucl.ac.uk). Registration is essential due to restrictions on numbers in FC 239, so please make sure to get in touch if you want to attend.
All are welcome to join – the Reading Group has always been an informal occasion (featuring wine and snacks). We look forward to seeing as many people there as possible!
This first meeting will be on Walter Raleigh's elegy, 'The Ocean to Cynthia', and will be led by Dr Eric Langley (UCL English Language and Literature).
