Laila is a Research Assistant/Image Analyst working on clinical trials (volumetric MR image QC, quantification of whole brain and substructure atrophy). Research projects she has been involved in have included work on atrophy patterns in presymptomatic frontotemporal dementia and rates of conversion in mild cognitive impairment. She is also involved in posterior cortical atrophy support group meetings and the NHS CANDID helpline for dementia patients and carers.
