Grant Museum of Zoology - a child stands by a very large elephant skull

This event has taken place

10am - 11am: Family Members only (booking essential)
11am - 1pm: Free drop-in for all family visitors

With over 68,000 zoological specimens, the Grant Museum of Zoology contains animal species from all corners of the earth. But how did they end up here? And what can we learn from the journeys that brought them here?

Drop-in to our Hidden Histories activity where you’ll trace the journeys of some of our animal specimens to discover more about their origins and stories overseas. Specimens that are usually behind glass will be out on our tables for your handle and investigate. Take your knowledge further and try out our museum trail that invites you to solve a mystery specimen challenge!

If you would like to beat the crowds, the first hour of the event is open exclusively for our Family Members.

From 11am onwards, this is a drop-in event for all family visitors.
This event is best suited for ages 5+ (however we will have colouring sheets available for younger children)
