Family Event: Birds of a Feather - Make Together

10-11am: Family Members only (free, booking essential)
11am-1pm: All family visitors (free, drop-in, no booking required)

Take flight with us at the Grant Museum of Zoology, and take part in a creative mask-making workshop that highlights our wonderful bird collection. From Chickerina the hen to our dearly departed dodo, there are a range of specimens to take inspiration from.

Birds are integral to many ecosystems, and some say we need them more than they need us. Come and join artist Fran Riando in a workshop that explores how birds help us, making your own bird-inspired mask to help get inside their heads.

If you would like to beat the crowds, the first hour of the event is open exclusively for our Family Members, but booking for this hour is essential. Please note that this session takes place in half-term week, so Family Members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the bookable session to avoid queueing.

This event is best suited for ages 5+ (however we will have colouring sheets available for younger children).
