Do you have any tips for applying to an Art Foundation?

The examiner wants to see that you are excited by making and that you are exploring and experimenting in your work.

When applying to an Art Foundation course, the examiner wants to see that you are excited by making and that you are exploring and experimenting in your work. They want to see that you are willing to try new things and have a curiosity and interest in being creative. There is a big difference between A Level or equivalent and studying arts or design subjects at degree level. A foundation course is just a bridge between the two. You will be introduced to different ways of thinking or making in a range of fine art and design subjects and will learn to use different tools, materials and techniques that will give you a feel for the kind of future that you want to specialise in.
