Expertise: Polish Migration, Applied Linguistics (which is the study of how language is used to solve real life problems)
I specialised in bilingualism (speaking two languages), and how a person’s identity is affected by the language(s) they speak. I also explore the stories people tell about their lives, especially migrant teenagers.

Before joining UCL, I lived in Greece and Hungary for several years, teaching English and French. My research focuses on the experiences of Polish teenagers living in the UK.
