My research is in tuberculosis, which is the deadliest infectious disease in the world: it kills over a million people every year. I am a manager of Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory.

I studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in Spain, my home country. I did a PhD in Microbiology in Italy. I have done research placements in Denmark and the USA and have been in the UK for 8 years.
