I know a lot about British history, history of empires, and history of the Atlantic world as well as controversies that included scientists, such as eugenics, scientific racism, science-and-religion, world trade, and extinction.

At University, I studied zoology and palaeontology, then philosophy, then history. I like questions that cut across a lot of subjects. I previously worked in jobs as different as selling ugly furniture, publishing books, cancer research, and collecting rubbish.
