My research and teaching is about the Indian subcontinent and its place within the wider region from the Middle East to East Asia from about 1500. I also work with museums.

I joined UCL in 2014 from Cambridge, where I wrote my PhD and taught history. Before that, I did a Masters in economic history at the LSE and studied social sciences at Oxford.
