I’m a materials chemist who helps people have conversations about science. This in reality has ranged from designing and building giant walk-through models of your gut to designing and delivering live science shows on the chemistry of fireworks.

My PhD research was creating new materials, inspired by naturally occurring minerals, to store hydrogen. Since then, I’ve focused on how we communicate and engage with science.
