UCL Buildings and Bloomsbury

UCL Educational Media brings to life images for the 'Home of Brave Thinkers'

In 2018 UCL launched a new brand positioning as the Home of Brave Thinkers. UCL Communications and Marketing were keen to see this new brand positioning brought to life.

We were commissioned by them to create a library of core UCL and Bloomsbury images for use on all the UCL websites. They asked for Images that were Modern, Fresh and High Energy. They wanted images that Combined the history and heritage of UCL and London and cutting-edge innovation. They were keen to get fresh perspectives on some of the more familiar parts of UCL – whether it is detail shots, interiors or angles. The images had to show a “Love Actually” version of London, they had to be colourful and have bright blue skies. They had to be Eclectic and reflective of our diversity. The brief also asked for red buses, black cabs, and red phone boxes to appear in the pictures whenever possible.
