Overview

Learn more about budgets, departmental policy and fees, commercial pricing, payments and ongoing financial management. UCL Consultants (UCLC) are offering a series of new lunchtime sessions covering areas such as an overview of consulting at UCL, proposal development and budgeting. In this course we discuss and build basic budgets, look at the difference between internal costs and external consultant rates, and share some basic tips for good financial management of projects once they have begun. A light buffet lunch will be provided.

Who is this for?

This short course is aimed at permanent academic staff currently leading and working on Consultancy and Bespoke Short Course projects through UCLC and would like to understand how to construct a commercial budget.

This seminar will be delivered on a regular basis through the academic year with follow up workshops becoming available in discrete areas such as consultancy skills, stakeholder management and proposal development, later on this year.
