The Kirkham Neuro lab conducts translational and clinical research in the detection and prevention of brain damage in children with chronic illnesses.

Using brain imaging techniques, as well assessing the affects on cognitive and educational outcomes, sleep, and mental health, we seek to reduce disease burden in paediatric patients, with a focus on children with sickle cell disease.
