Research summary
I am a cognitive neuroscientist with a special interest in how speech-language development is altered by neurological conditions and environmental variables.
My research focuses on the neural bases of childhood acquired and developmental speech and language disorders. I am also examining cognitive outcomes and their brain correlates in a range of developmental conditions.
Conditions studied:Genetic disorders, epilepsy, hemispherectomy, tumours, traumatic brain injury, infarcts, preterm birth, neurodevelopmental disorders
Research Methods: Neuropsychological testing, Functional MRI (fMRI), structural MRI (morphometry and tractography)
Teaching summary
Programme co-director: UCL MSc/PGDip Pediatric Neuropsychology.
I co-lead two modules for this Programme and teach on the IECD MSc programme as well.
