Research summary
My research spans the key strategic areas of paediatric nutrition, but with a particular focus in specific areas:
1. Nutrition and bone health - nutritional programming of bone health - methodological issues relating to the assessment of bone mass in children - bone health in children with a variety of diseases
2. Body composition and obesity - primary prevention, treatment - methodological aspects of body composition measurement in infants and children
3. Infant nutrition - Human lactation. - design of infant formula, including health impact of specific ingredients such as LCPUFA - Complementary feeding and the duration of exclusive breastfeeding
4. Infant growth and its association with later health
