Research summary
Research Interests: Soft Matter, Colloids, Supramolecular Chemistry (Cucurbit[n]uril host-guest system, DNA), Microfluidics
My research is revolved around soft matter, colloids, supramolecular chemistry and interfaces, aiming to develop Nature-inspired adaptive materials & systems for innovative solutions to address grand challenges in health, environment and sustainability. Recent research projects include: 1) synthesis of polymeric colloids with advanced structures such as raspberry-like colloids, microcapsules and Janus particles for applications in optical materials, drug-delivery and emulsification; 2) self-assembly of colloids for hierarchical colloidal materials based on supramolecular interactions (cucurbit[n]uril host-guest interactions, DNA complexation); 3) microreactors for sustainable catalysis.
