PhD student Georgios Bounitsis wins the CA Floudas Mathematical Optimization Award 2023

During the 33rd European Symposium on Computer-Aided Process Engineering that took place in Athens, Greece, 2023, Mr Georgios Bounitsis, PhD student from the group of Dr Vasileios Charitopoulos, was awarded the CA Floudas Mathematical Optimization Award for his work in data-driven scenario generation for stochastic programming.

This newly established award aims to honor the legacy of Professor Christodoulos A. Floudas and is granted by the Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE) Working Party of the European Federation of Chemical Engineers (EFCE) in recognition of mathematical excellence, depth, and rigor to address novel optimization methods and algorithms. Congratulations!
