Prof. Junwang Tang receives Oil and Gas Award at the 2022 IChemE Global Awards

Prof. Junwang Tang’s Group was presented with the 2022 IChemE Oil and Gas Award due to the seminal contribution to convert methane into variable chemicals (C1-C2) and liquid fuels driven by the most abundant renewable solar energy.

This new technology can not only potentially solve the dependence of chemical production on oil but also provide a solution to environment issues. Furthermore, this new chemical process is operated under very moderate conditions, thus saving an enormous amount of capital investment, running cost and mitigating safety concerns.
