CheERS Career Event: From PhDs/Post-Docs to Start-ups

On Tuesday 10th December, CheERS hosted a career event focusing on the passage from Academia to Start-ups. Former members of the Department, Dr Katerina Loizou (now at AmaDema), and Dr Evita Roumpea (now at Nuclera), along with external guest Dr Claire-Alix Zapata Garin from Lifebit, gave interesting talks on their personal experiences in working in start-ups after academia, the motivations behind the choice, and many advises and nice suggestions on the subject.
Finally, Ms Olivia Ash presented Conception X, the venture builder that helps PhD students to creates deep-tech startups during their PhD programmes.
