UCL offers a variety of volunteering mentorship programmes. UCL Careers is directly involved in the UCL Careers Extra skills mentoring scheme, where UK-based alumni are offered the opportunity to mentor students from under-represented backgrounds.
If you or anyone in your organisation is a UCL graduate, we would encourage you / them to register and be part of these growing professional networks.
Once registered, students and other UCL graduates will be able to get in touch and gain insight into the realities of working in specific professions / organisations.
Hundreds of UCL alumni spanning a wide range of professions have already volunteered to become informal 'mentors' to UCL students and graduates considering their career options via this network and you could be one of them.
All alumni mentoring schemes re-open for sign-ups in the 2024/25 autumn term, with sign-up deadlines being in October 2024.
