Researchers attend BHF parliamentary reception to celebrate its 60th birthday

On March 2nd, ICS researchers attended a parliamentary reception at Westminster, to celebrate 60 years of the BHF. The reception reflected on the BHF’s life-saving research over the past 6 decades and provided an opportunity for researchers to liaise with parliamentarians and sector representatives.  

The event highlighted inspirational examples of BHF funded research, including work from the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL.  

Professor Nish Chaturvedi, Dr Gaby Captur, Dr Rhodri Davies and Alexandra Jamieson showcased expertise in data science as applied to population studies to capture subclinical disease.  

Event attendees pledged continued support for BHF research to ‘make science fiction a reality’.
