Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM) via single photon counting has been proven to be the gold standard method for the detection of Forster Resonant Energy Transfer (FRET). The first talk will provide an overview of how FLIM can be performed, how the data can be analysed and what it is good for. The second will describe how we exploit these highly sensitive techniques to quantify protein interactions in clinical tissue to help form prognostic and predictive biomarkers of cancer treatment.
A light lunch will be served after the seminar.
This event has been arranged by the CRUK-UCL Centre and UCL Cancer Domain.
