Data Collection - Record Review

Every few years information is collected from GP practices on various events experienced by the participants. A standard 'Record Review' form is sent for every participant asking for confirmation of the diagnosis and dates of these events. Validation forms are also included for cardiovascular disease outcomes, which ask for further information on these key events. This allows the application of WHO diagnostic criteria to the information to confirm the event.
