KinoKlub Zagreb at UCL: Ethnographic Experiments

KinoKlub Zagreb has been offering opportunities for amateur and experimental filmmaking since 1928. Almost a century later, the film club is one of the most prolific producers of films in all of Croatia. In 2022-2023, UCL Lecturer Meghanne Barker collaborated with KKZ and film editor Karla Folnović to offer a workshop on ethnographic film, Ethnographic Experiments. This projection includes excerpts from the seven films made during the workshop, along with examples of recent outstanding films that have emerged from KKZ. For the Q&A to follow the screenings, Barker will be joined by guests from Croatia, filmmaker and KKZ president Dalija Dozet and Karla Folnović.
