Biological Sciences: Computational Biology modules

A dedicated framework for those students who wish to take a computational approach to the study of biology.

Biological Sciences: Computational Biology (only available from year three MSci)

Computational Biology is the newest route within the Biological Sciences degree programme and was designed to offer a dedicated framework for those students who wish to take a computational approach to the study of biology. Computational biology involves the application of computers and computer science to the understanding and modelling of biological structures and processes. The range of topics covered will equip the students with the knowledge and skills to address biological problems in genetics, cell biology, evolutionary biology and ecology using a variety of computational tools and analytical approaches. This is a 3rd year entry route, so it is currently available only as an MSci and not a BSc.

Please Note: All Modules are subject to change.
