Successful Biomaterial Transfer

This course considers the nature of fluid flow in pipework and applies this to packed column chromatography systems. The means of calculating flow regimes and frictional losses in pipework are presented, and then used to determine design requirements for packed chromatography column systems.

Course Overview

  • Introduction to Chromatographic Systems
  • What you will Learn
  • Predicting Flow Characteristics in Pipework
  • Calculating Heads in a Pipework System
  • Predicting Flow in Packed Columns
  • Estimating Pressure Drops in Packed Beds
  • Appraisal
  • Course Summary

What you will learn
