Biomanufaturing Tools: Speeding from Concept to Commerce

14 - 16 May 2012

This module addresses the role of biomanufacturing in the overall
commercialisation of research from concept to end-user delivery. It
focuses on both technological and business drivers and examines
the latest tools available to accelerate the manufacturing stage in
the lifecycle of biological products.

The sessions are designed to give both the expert and non-expert
participants an overall understanding of the latest innovations which
are paving the way for the future. They consist of lectures and
participatory team working exercises delivered and led by experts
from industry, commerce and academia.

The three day module embraces three themes: R&D efficiency
in management and regulations; Advances in speeding up
manufacturing; Manufacturing – A business performance tool.

• Improving project management efficiency
• Improving Technology Transfer
• Regulatory requirements and control
• A single use approach – where it does and does not work
• Upstream to help downstream – a holistic approach
• Tools to speed-up candidate selection and process development
• Strategic cost analysis
• Manufacturing- business interface – a modelling approach
Inclusive in the programme is one of the Vision Programme
Executive Briefings which consists of a pre-dinner talk followed by
module dinner.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for a wide range of delegates
