Jing Cui Awarded EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr Jing Cui who has been awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship titled "Engineering photosynthetic cells for low-cost, light-driven synthesis of an antimalarial drug"
Jing’s research aims to demonstrate the potential of fast-growing photosynthetic bacteria as genetically programmable cell platforms for sustainable, low-cost production of drug compounds currently derived from medicinal plants.
