Our KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) project, in collaboration with partners Biocatalysts Ltd and funded by InnovateUK and the Welsh Government, are finalists in the 2020 IChemE global awards in the categories of Biochemical Engineering and Food and Drinks
We are proud to announce that UCL Biochemical Engineering, in partnership with Biocatalysts Ltd are IChemE Global Awards 2020 finalists in both the Biochemical Engineering and the Food and Drink categories.
The submission – Ultra Scale-Down Accelerates Industrial Enzyme Manufacture, highlights the benefits that can be gained when a highly respected academic establishment such Biocatalysts Ltd, a world-class industrial biotechnology manufacture company, and ourselves, combine our knowledge and expertise. This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) demonstrates the value of effective knowledge transfer between industrial and academic experts, which ultimately enabled the successful embedding of advanced biochemical engineering processes into the enzyme manufacturing processes at Biocatalysts Ltd, in some instances improving process productivity by up to 50%.
