Richard Francis Joins Department as Honorary Lecturer

The UCL Department of Biochemical Engineering is pleased to announce Richard Francis,  Owner and Senior Director of Francis Biopharma, is now an Honorary Lecturer in the Department. Richard’s ongoing support in the design and delivery of the Validation and Quality by Design course for the MEng and MSc students has been extremely valuable addition to the teaching programme, introduce students to regulatory concepts as well as the impact in industry.

Additionally Richard is joint module leader with Prof. Suzanne Farid on the Quality by Design for Effective Bioprocess Characterisation and Validation MBI® module. This is a short course designed for industry consisting of series of lectures and interactive case studies providing expert guidance on how best to integrate Qulaity by Design, Design of Experiments and PAT into lifecycle approach to process characterisation.
