Professor Ward wins ERA-NET grant

John Ward, Professor of Synthetic Biology for Bioprocessing and leader of the Synthetic Biology MRes, has won a 3 year, £431k ERA-NET ‘Biotechnology for a Sustainable Bioeconomy’ grant. This is part of a larger £2.17m grant involving three academic partners (RU Darmstadt, IAC Catalonia, Universite Clermont Auvergne) and two industrial partners (Prozomix and BASF). The project, TRALAMINOL, aims to create an integrated reaction platform for the synthesis of multifunctional chiral building blocks.
