This month at BREI: June 2019

June 5: BREI will host a town hall to explore establishing an Off World Living Institute. The institute would take an interdisciplinary approach to look at the practical, physical, societal and psychological challenges to exploring worlds beyond our own.

June 7: Prof Andrew Edkins, Prof Yolande Barnes and Barclays Ventures are making a video explaining blockchain in construction and real estate, in preparation for a BREI short course

June 11: Emerging Issues in Business Education: Digital and Spatial will provide an overview of the latest thinking about the best ways of connecting face-to-face with online learning. The event is co-hosted by the Bartlett Global Centre for Learning, which is part of BREI, and Imperial College Business School.

June 12-14: Dr Evangelia Chrysikou, programme director of BREI’s MSc Healthcare Facilities, will present at ARCH19 – the 4th Architecture Research Care & Health Conference, in Norway https://www.ntnu.edu/arch19

June 17-19: Dr Evangelia Chrysikou will deliver a poster entitled Socio-spatial dynamics in psychiatric wards: small-scale institutions in the community, and a presentation with colleague Dr Upali Nanda at the European Healthcare Design Conference 2019, in London https://europeanhealthcaredesign2019.salus.global/conference-show/european-healthcare-design-2019

June 25-27: BREI director Andrew Edkins will present at the Engineering Project Organization Conference (EPOC) 2019 in Vail, Colorado

June 27: Dr Evangelia Chrysikou will deliver a poster and presentation at the UK Indoor Environments Group (UKIEG) Conference 2019 in High Wycombe
