Samantha Choo is a student in the 2023-24 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Samantha has nine years of experience working in social impact on the issues of misinformation, disinformation and digital literacy. She has led and designed campaign and programme strategy, delivered capacity-building workshops and developed impact evaluation and best practice for international organisations like UN agencies, foundations and tech companies across the Asia Pacific. She is currently pursuing the MPA at IIPP to develop a deeper understanding of system change, advance her critical evaluation of policies and programmes, and to rethink the status quo, with an eye toward shaping a kinder and more equitable world. She is also deeply interested in media development and the impacts of technology on democracy. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Singapore Management University.
