De'Sean Weber is a student in the 2023-24 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
De'Sean is a community economic developer passionate about building democratic, just, and sustainable economies. His national and local experience working with economic development organizations in Washington, D.C., and Miami, Florida, has fueled his interest in implementing public common partnerships to democratize economies and expand common ownership. Most recently, he served as the Worker-Owned Enterprises Director at Catalyst Miami, expanding the cooperative ecosystem in Miami through the creation of worker cooperatives and a non-extractive democratic loan fund. De'Sean graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Anthropology and Global Health Studies and was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. De'Sean supports Arsenal FC and loves walking through cities.
