FORMAS Swedish Research Council appointment

The Bartlett School of Planning's Dr Catalina Turcu has been invited to become a member of the FORMAS Research Review Panel on Urban and Rural Development.  Her appointment is for four years during which time she will play an important role in deciding the recipients of these prestigious grant awards.

FORMAS is the Swedish equivalent of UK Research Councils and supports basic and applied research within the areas of environment, agricultural sciences and spatial planning.  The research funded is of highest scientific quality and relevance within Formas' areas of responsibility.

The Panel is comprised of approximately 20 prominent and active researchers and users in society. The researchers in the Panel are professors or associate professors, or have corresponding expertise, and are primarily active outside Sweden.
