The third Research Seminar among the six Public Research Seminars is part of a wider UCL ChangeMakers funded project titled MRes InterConnect: Bridging Interdisciplinary Communities and Frontline Research. The theme of Publicness and Places delves into the dynamics of public spaces and their significance in our urban environment. During this seminar, we will explore various aspects of publicness and places in different parts the world. Renelle Sarjeant will be exploring the realities and complexities of the institutional an dthe everyday domains and how these cross and serve each other; Dr. Joseph Chambers will be focus on the uses of private and public space and how these may differ, and Dr. Juhyun Lee will focus on the smart city and its social transitions.
