Research summary
I am a heritage scientist, studying:
- New technologies for preventive conservation, including the development of tools for the analysis of environmental data
- Transport phenomena in heritage materials and microenvironments. This often involves Computational Fluid Dynamics, for example of pollutants, rain and particulate matter.
- Citizen heritage science and crowd-sourcing in historic sites and museums
- Data-driven approaches to the analysis of large collections, with the objective of informing conservation management and decision-making.

I direct the MSc in Data Science for Cultural Heritage.
