UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage is pleased to announce the deadline to apply for the Ecclesiastical Insurance Bursary for Sustainable Hertiage MSc has been extended to Thursday 30 June 2022. The Bursary is available to enable a new generation of heritage professionals to study on the Sustainable Heritage MSc. One bursary of £24,150 is available for the 2022/23 for UK applicants who have an offer for either full-time or part-time/flexible study on this course and intend to accept or have already firmly accepted their offer.

The Sustainable Heritage MSc programme focuses on management and sustainability of cultural heritage worldwide. It includes the cross-disciplinary study of current conservation policies, projects, methodologies and practice in the context of historic buildings, collections, site and landscapes. The MSc uses an MBA-style block teaching model, allowing time and space for reflection and study.

Since 2004 Ecclesiastical Insurance has donated over £350,000 to UCL to offer scholarships that support students studying the Sustainable Heritage MSc. They recently extended their support for a further three years.

Tracy Stringfellow, Chief Executive Officer at Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust and former Ecclesiatical Insurance Bursary recipient, said:

Without the Ecclesiastical Insurance Scholarship I would not have been in a position to fund my studies. The support from Ecclesiastical enabled me to develop my skills, learn from great academic and sector leaders, and benefit from meeting people in the heritage sector from all over the world. The program is hugely flexible so I was able to study Sustainable Heritage while working full time which was invaluable. A blend of academic studies and practical hands on experience during a two week placement in Malta, I was able to apply these learnings directly to my day to day work.
