Research summary
My current research focuses on overheating in cities. Specifically, I am interested in linking spatial aspects of urban microclimate, socioeconomic factors, and health outcomes.
In previous work, I have focussed on climate projections relating to occupational heat exposure, especially how this relates to seasonal forms of labour.
Teaching summary
I helped develop the online statistics materials for BENV0032: Methods of Environmental Analysis, and developed teaching material for statistics in python for MSc Light and Lighting.
Biography
I completed my DPhil in particle physics at Oxford in 2019, but spent most of 2017-2018 attached to Kamioka Observatory in Japan.
I decided to look for research work in a more applied area, and took a position as a data scientist at the British Antarctic Survey AI Lab.
There, I developed skills working with global climate model output, and an interest in human heat stress.
